How do I tell my parents about dating a senior guy?

Ok I kinda want to date this senior in highschool. Im a freshman. I really like this guy and I know he wouldnt just have his way with me. He is already my friend and I trust him. I have mentioned dating older guys to my parents and they freak out. How could I tell/convince them to let me date this senior?
